Mission Statement

Freedom Center is designed to provide Emotional, Physical, Mental, and Spiritual support for the soldiers of Fort Cavazos and their families. This is done by providing a safe location to remove oneself from the Demands of Military Life. Our focus is on helping families overcome the demands of everyday life and promoting reunification of families through classes and personal one-on-one support.

Classes Offered

Freedom 180: A group of young adults who meet every Friday night. We have dinner together, share a short devotion, and play games. Once a month, we schedule an activity (Paintball, Escape Rooms, etc.)

Iron Sharpeneth Iron: A 12-week knife making class designed for practical application in life lessons associated with knife making. This program is offered for just the cost of materials involved in making their personal knife. They would start with a blank bar of metal and pieces of wood. We learn the process from start to finish, with each person taking home their own handmade blade at the end. This program is designed to build camaraderie and morale, as well as learning to apply the lessons they learn in knife making to overcoming hardship in everyday life. (See media pages for examples)
